Three principles we do not bend
They are constraints on the software, not values on a wall. Each one is enforced in code, and each one costs us something.
1. Humans stay in charge
The AI books appointments as requests. Clinic staff confirm them. Schedules read from a prescription stay drafts. Patients confirm those. Always. It would be easy to sell "the AI books the appointment" and harder to defend it the first time a patient turned up to a slot no one had checked.
2. No advice, no diagnosis
Medigent organises information and sends reminders. It never diagnoses, never prescribes, and never overrides what a doctor said. The consult scribe drafts a note and suggests diagnoses coded to SNOMED CT; the doctor edits and signs, and only a signed note enters the record.
3. Data belongs to its owner
Records are encrypted, isolated per clinic and per patient, and exportable in the open FHIR R4 standard. Sharing is consent-based in both directions. A clinic that leaves takes its records with it, which is the point of using an open standard rather than a private one.
What we have built
- An AI receptionist — answers clinic lines around the clock in Hindi and English, against the clinic’s real schedule, and hands over to a human when asked.
- A native EHR — charts, prescriptions, consent and the appointment desk, with FHIR R4 export. Free for life, not free for a trial.
- A free patient app — prescription scanning, medication schedules and reminders at me.medigent.in. Patients are never charged for anything.
Compliance and infrastructure
Where we are
Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. Not Bengaluru, and that matters more than it sounds: the clinics we build for are in towns like this one, where the receptionist is also the pharmacist, the phone rings after nine at night, and nobody has heard of a practice-management suite. Building here means the product gets tested by the clinics it is for, every week.
Two companies sit behind Medigent, both owned by the same people, with different jobs. Which one your agreement names, and which one holds the licences, is set out plainly on the contact page.
